Lucas Oil Auckland Speedway regrets to advise that the upcoming North Island Sprintcars meeting on the 21st March has been postponed.
Despite ongoing efforts, the quality control procedures in place for the track remediation need to be followed. Our priority is to provide racing conditions that reflect the prestige, safety, and integrity expected of a Championship. A new date will be determined after consultation with Speedway New Zealand and shared once approved.
While this decision is disappointing for competitors, teams, officials, and fans, it has been made in the best interests of the sport.
Sprintcars and Midgets remain scheduled to compete at Waikaraka Park as part of the John Webster Memorial on Saturday, 28th March, providing competitors and fans the opportunity to enjoy open wheel racing at the venue on this date.
